Ruth Manning and the Prospectors formed as a band in the fall of 2016 and have been playing dances, festivals, and shows ever since. Band members include Joel LeBreton on lead guitar and vocals, Bob Gerard on bass and vocals, Scott Redden on drums and Ruth Manning headlines the band and also plays acoustic guitar and piano. The group has a tight sound with three-part harmony and plays a variety of country, rock and 50s &/60s music as well as many of Ruth's original songs.

Ruth has been involved in music for over 40 years and has been recording her own music since 2008. Her current single "Almost Home" =just topped the Worldwide Country Music Charts!

In 2022 Ruth was inducted into the Nova Scotia Country Music Hall of Fame!
